How do newbies get started with shrimp farming?

Nowadays, the technology of shrimp farming is becoming more and more mature, but for some farmers who are just getting started, there is still a lot of knowledge to learn. Today I will share some tips about shrimp farming. Tips!

1. Distinguish between good and bad water quality. It directly affects the healthy growth and development of shrimp. During the breeding process, the pH value of the pool water is maintained between 7.5 and 8.5, and the transparency is 30cm~40cm. New water should be added frequently, and quicklime solution should be sprayed regularly to adjust the water quality to prevent diseases and shelling failure.

2. Feed must be supplied reasonably. Shrimp will kill each other when they are hungry and lack food, so there must be enough feeding. Lobster feed is animal and plant feed. Plant-based feeds include wheat, aquatic plants, vegetable cakes, etc., and animal-based feeds include miscellaneous fish, miscellaneous meat, livestock offal, etc. The feeding time, amount and method of feeding are usually determined based on the lobster's nighttime swimming habits and the density of shrimp in the pond. Otherwise it will increase feed costs and reduce breeding efficiency.

3. Promote scientific fishing. During shrimp farming, under suitable temperature and sufficient feed conditions, juvenile shrimp can grow to commercial specifications within 60 to 90 days. Seedlings are released in March, and round fishing begins around June, with large and small fishing. Due to the large capture volume, small retention volume, large number of capture rounds, and small number of release rounds, the recapture rate can be increased and sold at a high price to achieve high yield and efficiency.

4. Straighten your mentality and don’t rush to get rich at the beginning. This mentality often brings you a greater sense of loss when you can't afford to raise shrimps. Sometimes we get jealous when we see other people's success. People are like this. We often see the success of others, but not the efforts of others. The success of others is the experience summed up after failure, thereby achieving success. When you first start raising shrimps, you can approach it with a mentality of learning and accumulating experience, and accumulate your own experience in practice.

5. Don’t blindly rely on theory when raising shrimp. The theory can only be used as a reference. I think a lot of things about shrimp farming are more practical than theoretical. If theory can really raise shrimps, I believe everyone can raise shrimps well. During the breeding process, I summarized my experience and analyzed existing problems. So, I believe everyone can raise shrimp well.
