The source is the rhizome or whole grass of Bos Domesticus of Gesneriaceae.

Perennial herbs in primitive form. The rhizome is thick. The root leaves are ovate or obovate-lanceolate, with a length of 10 ~ 17 cm and a width of 3 ~ 6 cm. The top is blunt and round, the base gradually narrows, and it descends into peduncle, whole or wavy, with hairs on both sides, thick and rough. The flower stems are about 20 cm high, with white hairs, and the small flowers are arranged in an umbrella shape with stalks; Pedicel base has 1 pair of bracts, broadly ovoid, about 1.5 cm long, holding the stem; Sepals 5, connate at base. Lobes linear-lanceolate; Corolla base tubular, lobes 2-lipped, light pink; Developing stamens 2, undeveloped stamens 2; Ovary 2-loculed. Capsule linear, about 5 cm long, yellow-brown, pointed at the top. There are many kinds of seeds.

Habitat distribution is born in wet places in the mountains and crevices. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan and Hubei.
