According to the data of Fish Encyclopedia, barracuda itself is not poisonous, but algae in water are poisonous. They accumulate in aquatic animals through plankton, which makes fish carry toxins. Barracuda has round scales. The back is blue-gray and the abdomen is light gray, and there are black vertical stripes on both sides of the scales.
