1. Saving usually means saving the file with the default path and name. If the original file is modified, the save operation will replace the contents of the original file.

2. Save as is to create a new file with the same name as the original file, but save the file to a different location and choose a different file format. If you specify the same name as the original file when saving as, the original file will be overwritten. If you specify a different name, the original file will remain unchanged.
