Mainly produced in Sichuan and Yunnan, the bulbs of Lijiang mountain arrowroot mushroom are commonly known as fritillary fritillary. The bulb is short conical, 1 to 1.5cm high, 0.8 to 2cm in diameter, with a tapered top and an umbilical concave or truncated bottom. The surface is yellow-white or yellow-brown, smooth, with a longitudinal groove extending from the base to the top on one side. It is hard in texture, horny or slightly powdery in cross-section, off-white or yellow-white, and tastes bitter and numb.
