North white rhinoceros information
During the periods of 1970s and 1980s, the number of illegal hunting decreased from 500 to 15, and from 1990s to 2003, the number returned to 32. The research in 2000 found that their numbers were on the rise, and 30 * * * survived, and others.
In Garamba National Park, the number of northern white rhinoceros reached 35 in the late 1980s and 30 in April 2003. After that, six rhinos were killed, four were born, and then two were hunted. Finally, all the northern white rhinos living in the wild live in Garamba National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo and China.
In June 2005, the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo approved the transfer of five northern white rhinos from Garamba National Park to Kenya, and strengthened the protection of Galamba, enabling these northern white rhinos to return to the environment. However, the five northern white rhinos died before the transfer began.
