At the New Year's Day banquet, Emperor Kangxi and his ministers tasted this "divine thing" that was as sweet as honey, crisp as pear, and rich in fragrance. They were all full of praise, but they didn't know where the "divine thing" came from. . King Ebedulla of Hami, who entered the court for the first time, knelt down and replied: "This is a tribute from the subjects of Hami. It is specially presented to the emperor, queen and ministers to enjoy it to show the sincerity of the ministers." After hearing this, Emperor Kangxi thought about it, so A good melon should have a resounding and pleasant name. Since it is produced in Hami, let’s call it “Hami Melon”.
