Luotian is located at the southern foot of Dabie Mountain, and the main peak of Dabie Mountain is located in the territory, where the forest is dense and the natural environment is beautiful. It is the first named hometown of chestnut in China. Luotian chestnut has a total planting area of 40,000 hectares and an annual output of more than 20,000 tons. In 2006, the annual output of chestnut in Luotian reached 30 million kilograms, ranking first in the country in terms of output and area. This product is famous for its large fruit (less than 40 super chestnuts per kilogram) and high quality. Chestnuts produced in Luotian are bright in color, rich in nutrition and extremely resistant to storage.
