Infused intravenously, the infusion time and dose are based on the patient's pulse, blood pressure, peripheral perfusion, and urine output. If blood or plasma loss is not serious, or preoperative and intraoperative prophylaxis, 500-1000 mL is usually infused in 1-3 h. For volume supplementation and maintenance in shock, 10-15 L can be infused in 24 hours (erythrocyte pressure should not be less than 25%, and not less than 30% for older patients, while avoiding coagulation abnormalities caused by hemodilution).
