The total land area of Macao is 33.3 square kilometers. The Macao Special Administrative Region, referred to as "Macau" for short, is the full name of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Special Administrative Region. It is located in the west of the Pearl River Estuary in the south of China, where the inland of China meets the South China Sea of China. It is adjacent to Guangdong Province, 60km away from Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and145km away from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. The Macao Special Administrative Region consists of Macau Peninsula, Taipa Island, Coloane Island and Lu Chao (the reclamation area in Lu Chao). By September 2023, the total land area will be expanded to 33.3 square kilometers. By the end of 2023, the total population was 684,000. According to the China Youth Daily, the data released by the Statistics and Census Bureau of the Macao SAR Government on March 1 day showed that with the orderly return of local economic activities and service exports, Macao's GDP increased by 80.5% in real terms in 2023, and rose to over 80% in 20 19, mainly driven by the export of tourism services. The annual per capita GDP was 559,000 patacas, with an annual increase of 80.5%. The deflator (which measures the overall price change) included in GDP rose by 6.5% year-on-year.
