This is from the 2023 LPL Spring Match between TT and TES, where Moon Man is the nickname for Euphrasia and Curd is the synonym for captive.

TES, the second seed of the LPL, was placed in Group C. The teams in Group C included RGE, the No. 1 seed of the European lec, South Korea's LCK, the No. 4 seed of DRX, and Vietnam's GAM.

Prior to the match, most of the spectators thought that TES' appearance in the group would not be a problem, but the final result was that TES won 3-3, and the team was defeated. TES finished in the round of 16 with a 3-3 record. What the LPL audience couldn't accept was that TES had shown in a few games that they could beat the strongest teams in their group, but also broke history by appearing in the first ever loss by an LPL team to a Vietnamese team at a world tournament. So then later, when the captor stunt came up, TES and the team's players at the time became what everyone now refers to as the Moon Male Captors.

Backstory of Ephilius

Ephilius, the Su of the Broken Moon, is a hero character in the MOBA competitive online game League of Legends, with the hero positioning as a shooter, which was launched in version 9.24.

Like the shadow of the moon, Ephilius is silent and kills all the enemies of his own beliefs. His language is nothing but precise aim and gunfire. Though he drank the poison that made him lose his voice, he was thus guided by his sister Laluen, who sent him various weapons made of moonstone from a distant temple. As long as the bright moon above his head remains bright, Ephilius will never be alone.
