Wuxi Vocational and Technical College is located in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It is a full-time ordinary college organized by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and a model higher vocational college in Jiangsu Province. The school's predecessor was Tao Dou University of Technology, founded in 1958, and its origin can be traced back to Jiangsu Yixing Ceramic Vocational School, founded in 1933. 1959, transformed into Yixing Ceramic Industry School in Jiangsu Province. 1985, renamed Yixing light industry school in Jiangsu province. In 2004, it was upgraded to Wuxi Vocational and Technical College.
