Hami melon planting method
1, sowing preparation:

(1) Land selection: When choosing the sowing land, it is necessary to choose shelter from the wind as far as possible. The soil is fertile, and it is best to have a small amount of sand. The soil with a PH value of 5-7 can be sown.

(2) When preparing the soil, all the dead branches and weeds in the field should be cleaned first, then the base fertilizer should be evenly scattered on the ground, and then deeply ploughed and leveled, waiting for sowing.

2, seedling management:

(1) Germination: Hami melon can be directly sown after germination, so just soak the seeds in warm water for about 8- 12 hours, take them out, put them in a wet towel, germinate in a room with stable temperature, and then directly sow them.

(2) Sowing: Normally, after digging holes (holes) in the border with agricultural tools, put the germinated seeds into into the pit (holes). The distance of each hole (hole) for sowing should be about15cm, the depth of the hole (hole) should be about 3-4cm, and 3-4 seeds should be put into each hole (hole). Don't water too much, just a moderate amount.

3. Field management:

(1) Seedling management: After sowing, don't think that everything is over. In fact, the really busy time has just arrived. After sowing, the seedlings should be replenished in time when they grow out of the soil. After the seedlings are replenished, the seedlings should be fixed when they grow 2-4 leaves. Remove all the seedlings that are not well-grown and short, leaving strong and healthy seedlings. Weeds should be removed by the way when picking up seedlings.

(2) Pruning: There are two normal methods (double-vine pruning or single-vine pruning), which should be decided according to different soil fertility. If the soil fertility is good, use double-vine pruning, if the soil fertility is not very good, use single-vine pruning, which should be decided according to your own situation.

(3) Top dressing: Top dressing should be used when the seedlings grow 4-6 cm, and the specific topdressing method for (diamine and urea) should be decided according to self-preference. When the fruit is set, in order to make the fruit swell as soon as possible, topdressing is mainly used (diamine, urea, potassium fertilizer) to fertilize.

(4) Watering: This is to make the vines bloom. As a result, the cantaloupe should be watered in these three stages, and the amount of watering should be determined according to the weather change. Don't water the fruit after the expansion, so that the cantaloupe can better absorb sugar, so don't water too much at this time.
