Caffeine stains will have the following characteristics when they appear:

1. The age of occurrence can appear at birth or later in life and increase in number throughout childhood

2. The site of occurrence can occur in any part of the body and will not subside throughout life

3. The characteristics of the skin lesions are light brown spots, milky coffee-colored pigments, brown to brown, like a mixture of coffee and milk. Dark brown spots of different sizes ranging from a few millimeters in diameter, similar to freckles, to 20cm or larger, round, oval or irregularly shaped, with clear borders and smooth surface

4. Associated symptoms include more than 90% of nerve fibers Patients with neurofibromatosis have café-au-lait spots. Many people without neurofibromatosis also have café-au-lait spots. It has been reported that approximately 1/5 to 1/10 children have a single café-au-lait spot. Some people believe that when there are 6 or more café-au-lait spots with a diameter of more than 1.5cm, a high altitude should be considered. Suspect the existence of neurofibroma

5. If you have no subjective symptoms and no discomfort, if you find that you have café-au-lait spots, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible.
