Doujiao Village is located at the foot of Qinling Mountain, at the north exit of Ziwu Valley.
There have been different opinions about the time and reason for the construction of this ancient village. The most popular saying is that in ancient times, in order to protect Chang 'an City and prevent bandits from invading the Qinling Mountains and harassing the people, people built four villages at the north entrance of Woods Road, and stationed troops in every corner, so there were South, North, East and West Jiaodu villages. Now there is a place in the bean called the school yard, which is the site of the bunker, indicating that troops were stationed here in the past. Relying on the convenient geographical location, Nandoujiao Village has long been an important ancient road station. According to records, the central street in Nandoujiao was full of inns and shops in its heyday. It is said that many business travelers and pedestrians could still be seen here until the opening of the Xiwan Expressway in the 1950s.
