Christmas kale is an evergreen perennial herbaceous succulent plant. The plant is short, the stem is erect, and the plant height is 10-30 cm. Growth habit
Christmas kale is native to Madagascar, Africa. I like a warm, slightly humid and sunny environment. Not cold-tolerant, the optimum growth temperature is 15-25℃. If the high temperature exceeds 30℃ in summer, the growth will be hindered, and the indoor temperature needs 12- 15℃ in winter. Below 5℃, the leaves turn red and the flowering period is delayed. In winter and spring, if the room temperature exceeds 24℃, flowering will be inhibited, and if the temperature is around 15℃, flowering will continue. Drought-tolerant, not strict with soil requirements, fertile sandy loam is better. Longevity flower is a short-day plant, which is sensitive to photoperiod response. When the well-developed plants are treated with short sunshine (8-9 hours a day) for 3-4 weeks, flower buds will appear.
