2. Don't punch holes in the gourd, which will not only destroy the quality of the gourd, but also cause the wound to be moldy.
When the gourd is 50% dry, the skin of the gourd should be removed. Premature peeling will make the gourd shrink seriously, because the water loss of the gourd is too fast and the degree of lignification of the gourd is low. Don't peel the gourd until the water evaporates naturally for a period of time.
4. Gourd skins with poor maturity are relatively thin, and those with low lignification will basically shrink or mildew, which has little preservation value, but some are dry and neat treasures.
