Introduction of Hebei cuisine
Hebei cuisine, which originated in Hebei province, was awarded the only new China cuisine "Ji Cuisine" by the organizing committee in the second China Catering Expo New Cuisine Competition held by the Ministry of Commerce, China Cuisine Association and China Hotel Association in Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province in October, 2006, thus making it famous in China. The classic fried dishes of Ji cuisine include: Li's lion's head, boiled shrimp, pork tenderloin, chicken's jump, fried crab, pot-wrapped elbow, Governor's tofu, Yangchun Baixue, Li Hongzhang's braised dishes, Rong Lu and osmanthus shark's fin, and Zhili sea cucumber.
