How to make cactus bloom?

The cactus will bloom. When it blooms, some small balls will grow from the edge of the ball, which are trumpet-shaped and come in pink, yellow, and white. They are very beautiful and have high ornamental value. But cactus cannot bloom casually, it must be properly maintained. If you want cactus to bloom, you need sufficient light, reasonable fertilization, moisture and a warm environment. Let’s conduct a detailed analysis below.

1. Light

Sufficient light is a necessary condition for the growth of cactus. Sufficient sunlight can supply nutrients to cactus. If there is a lack of light, growth will be slow and it will not be conducive to flowering. But be careful not to expose it to the sun for a long time.

2. Fertilization

If you want the cactus to bloom, you must fertilize it regularly. You can apply water and fertilizer once every 7-14 days. Cacti are generally cultivated for 3-4 years and can bloom when the ball diameter reaches 3-4 cm.

3. Watering

The original environment of the cactus is the desert, which is relatively drought-tolerant. But if you want beautiful flowers, you don’t need enough water. In this way, the sphere absorbs more nutrients and grows faster. If not watered, the cactus' sphere will shrink.

4. Temperature

Cactus likes high temperature and dry environment, so it should be planted in a warm place. Especially in winter, the temperature should be kept above 20℃ during the day and the temperature at night should not be lower than 5℃. Otherwise, too low a temperature can easily cause root rot and prevent flowers from blooming.
