Colostrum can be stored at 27-32℃ for 12 hours, mature breast milk can be stored at 15℃ for 24 hours, at 19-22℃ for 18 hours and at 25℃ for 6 hours.
2. Cold storage:
Refrigeration at 0-4 degrees can be stored for 8 days.
3. Frozen storage in the refrigerator:
If there is a small freezer in the refrigerator, the shelf life is two weeks.
If it is a freezer separate from the freezer, but the door is often opened and closed to take things, the shelf life is 3-4 months.
If it is a deep freezer, the temperature is kept below 0 degrees, and the door is not often opened, and the storage period can be as long as 6 months.
It is best to use frozen and well-sealed plastic utensils for breast milk freezing, followed by glassware, and it is best not to use metal utensils. The stored breast milk will decompose and look a little blue, yellow or brown, which is normal.
When breast milk is thawed, it should be washed with cold water first, and then hot water is gradually added until the temperature is suitable. Heating by fire or microwave oven is not allowed.
