Taiping Monkey Kui, a famous traditional tea in China and one of the famous historical teas in China, belongs to the category of green tea. It is produced in Taiping County, Anhui Province (now huangshan district, Huangshan City) and enjoys a long-standing reputation. Its shape has two leaves holding buds, flat and straight, naturally stretched, and white hair is concealed. It has the reputation of "the monkey head has two pointed ends, and it does not spread or curl". Tea contains more than 500 kinds of chemical components, which have antibacterial, bacteriostatic, slimming, dental caries prevention, cancer cell inhibition and other effects. Qing Xianfeng, Zheng Shouqing, the ancestor of Monkey Kui, opened a tea garden in the mountains along the Machuan River, producing a flat, straight, fresh and mellow "Jian Tea" with a burst of orchid fragrance, named "Taiping Jian Tea". It is generally believed that "Taiping Jian Tea" is the predecessor of Taiping Monkey Kui in the tea industry.
