Steam pipes are all high-temperature. Under the action of high temperature, the pipes will expand due to heat, thus compressing the compensator. If the steam pipeline requires a compensation amount of 200, and the compression amount of the compensator you install is 180, this will only affect the service life of the compensator and will not cause leakage immediately. The reason is that the design compensation amount of the pipeline has a safety factor included in it. The compensation amount is calculated as follows: pipeline expansion coefficient * length of straight pipe section * (maximum temperature of the pipeline - installation ambient temperature).
