Hair cake is a kind of fermented pasta made of flour. Because flour is mainly amylose, it has high water absorption, is loose after fermentation and is easy to steam. Generally, the cake is put into a pot and steamed over medium heat. After the water in the pot is boiled, steam 15-20 minutes, and the cake can be steamed.
The steamed cake is not ripe. Considering that the steaming time is not enough or the steaming fire is too small, it is suggested to put the steamed cake into the pot, add some hot water, then cover the pot, increase the fire, and continue steaming for about 10 minutes until the steamed cake is completely cooked.
