Body length is 7- 13cm. The head width is similar to the body width, the snout is pointed, the eyes are slightly larger, there is complete pu between the fingers and toes, the back of the body is olive gray, dark brown to dark brown, with irregular dark stripes and spots, and the ventral side is light gray, dark brown to milky white.

The cry is a series of grunts, which feed on invertebrates, fish, frogs and other small vertebrates, spawn in the water, and larvae develop in the water.
