On June 16, at the construction site of Changde Station of Changyichang High-speed Railway, the builders of Changyichang High-speed Railway faced the rising sun and laid the first pair of 500-meter-long rails safely and accurately on the ballastless track bed, which marked that Changyi section of Changyichang Railway officially entered the track laying stage.
Opening time Yiyang-Changsha section is expected to be open to traffic in June 2022.
Changde-Yiyang section is expected to be open to traffic by the end of 2022.
Changyichang Railway is located in the northwest of Hunan Province, in the Changsha-Yiyang-Changde urban industrial convergence zone of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration in Hunan Province. Changyichang Railway leads out from Changde Station and goes along Changde Avenue to Liuye Lake. Then it basically runs parallel to Shichang Railway, crosses Renmin Road, an urban road, and the existing Shichang Railway at K87+400, and crosses Majiaji River on the north side of Changde Vocational School. After that, the line continuously crosses J44 County Road, Erguang Expressway and Yuanjiang River, and reaches Hanshou South, and sets up Hanshou South Station in Yadongpu Village on the north side of Xiangyang River. Continuously cross S2 15, Chang-Chang Expressway, National Highway G3 19, then take a straight line to the southeast, cross Zishui and Shichang Railway, and set up Yiyang South Station in Yiyang South via Xielingang Town. After leaving the station, cross the Yilou Line and the South Line Expressway, pass through Cangshuipu and Henglongqiao along the Shichang Line to Ningxiang, and build a new Ningxiang West Station on the west side of the existing Ningxiang Avenue. Later, the line merged with Shichang Railway to the east, then crossed Changchang Expressway and Yuelin Expressway, and entered Wangcheng to introduce Changsha West Railway Station on the north side of Guchong Reservoir.
