1. Prepare a large bowl and line it with gauze with a fine hole, large enough that the edges hang out of the bowl.
2. Place the petals in the bowl and pour in water until the petals are covered.
3. Find a saucer or something to cover the bowl and leave it overnight. If the weather is too hot, it is best to place the petals in the refrigerator for a day and a half or two days.
4. After two days, strain the saran wrap over the petals, gently squeezing the saran wrap to extract the juice. At this point, you should be able to smell the fragrance. Be careful not to squeeze the flesh of the petals too hard as well.
5. Boil the scented water in a clean pot over very low heat until only a tsp of liquid remains.
6. In a sealed bottle is the homemade perfume.
