Shrub-like bamboo. Prefer warm, moist and sunny. Cold hardy, adaptable, resistant to water and humidity, also drought resistant. Growth temperature 15 ~ 25 ℃, winter can withstand -5 ℃ low temperature. Ground planting selected deep soil, fertile and sunny places. Before planting, apply base fertilizer, available rotted stable fertilizer. Keep the soil moist during the shoots and young bamboo growth period, and fertilize 1 to 2 times a year. Prune the overcrowded bamboo clusters and thin out the leaves. Remove the old root and stem and dead bamboo every 3 to 4 years for renewal, so as not to overload the old bamboo root and stem and affect the underground stem and root growth. Prevent and control rust disease and mesquite infestation.

Early spring or the rainy season, the dense clumps will be dug out, cut off the bamboo whip with the top buds, to 3 ~ 5 culms a clump with soil planting.
