This is a very down-home dish, and technically, this braised winter melon is considered a Hunan test burn. But when I was a kid, my mom would cook winter melon for me like this, and when I was a kid, I was so hot that I wouldn't eat anything that didn't have chili peppers in it. The only difference is that my mom didn't put any oil in it.
Raw materials: winter melon, small pointed pepper, ginger, garlic, small onion, soy sauce, old soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt.
Practice steps:
Step 1: Peel the winter melon, cut it with a knife, cut it into bite-sized pieces, and drain the water.
Step 2: Chop ginger, garlic, bell pepper and green onion.
Step 3: Add oil to a wok, heat a little more, and fry the cut winter melon until slightly browned on both sides.
