Wuxi Jialan Temple
Jialan Temple and Yangming Bridge are located in Taihu Town. Jialan Temple was originally the Guandi Temple, and the Yangming Bridge was originally a wooden bridge, which was destroyed by the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the famous bridge was rebuilt in the southwest of the temple, that is, the present three-ring cave Jinshan stone bridge, with 72 stone steps, which is simple and elegant. The Buddha statue of Guandi Temple was destroyed in the Cultural Revolution, and the temple was changed into a factory. Until the 1990s, when the new temple was rebuilt, it was named Jialan Temple because Guan Yunchang's "putting down the butcher's knife and becoming a Buddha on the spot" was crowned as one of the protectors of the 18th Galand. The newly-built Daxiong Hall in the temple, with two double eaves and cornices, is quite tall and magnificent; The Guanyin Hall, the Dizang Hall, the Galapagos Hall, the Three Temples, the Bell and Drum Tower, and the Jushi Building have also been perfected, and the temples have begun to take shape. In addition to the surrounding areas, pilgrims from Wuxi and Shanghai often come to the temple, and Taiwan Province compatriots and Chinese Americans also come to the temple to burn incense.
