Elephant shit coffee.
Black Ivory Coffee, also known as "elephant dung coffee", is coffee ground from coffee beans digested and excreted by Thai elephants. It is produced in the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Base. Enzymes in the elephant's body break down the proteins in the bean during digestion, thus giving it almost none of the bitter taste of regular coffee.
This coffee is produced and wholesaled by Black Ivory Coffee Company. Due to the extremely limited supply, it is only sold in a few five-star hotels in the world, and is very expensive. In August 2013, black ivory coffee officially beat Indonesia’s civet coffee to become the most expensive coffee in the world.
