How long does it take to make dough with baking powder?
Use yeast or baking powder to make dough. If you want it to rise completely, it usually takes 1-2 hours. In fact, when the dough has just risen (about 1 hour, mainly depends on the temperature during fermentation), you can start making pasta. After the dough is ready, do not rush to steam it, but continue to rise (relax). After 20 minutes, you can start pouring cold water into the pot and steam over high heat. Once you see steam coming out, start counting 20 minutes.
How to make baking powder dough
1. First pour an appropriate amount of flour into the basin.
2. Then put the yeast into a bowl according to the ratio of yeast and flour of 1:200, and dissolve it with warm water. The temperature of the warm water should be about the same as body temperature.
3. Dig a hole in the flour, then pour the yeast water into it, and then mix the flour and yeast together.
4. Prepare some warm water, pour it into the hole, and knead the dough.
5. Knead the dough into a ball.
6. Cover the reconciled surface with a piece of cloth and wait for half an hour.
Dough-rising skills
1. Secondary fermentation is very important
After the dough is kneaded, it can be placed on the steamer to ferment again for a while. Secondary fermentation plays a big role in the softness of the finished product.
2. Cook in cold water
After the steamed buns are kneaded, they should be cooked in cold water. Because cold steamed buns suddenly encounter heat, it is easy for the steamed buns to not rise. The correct method is to add cold water to the pot, then put the steamed buns on it, and then heat it up to make the steamed buns evenly heated and soft and delicious.
3. Don’t be in a hurry to take off the lid after cooking
Many people think the steamed buns look very good when steaming, but they change as soon as the lid is removed. This is because the steamed buns suddenly shrink when they are cold. Therefore, the correct method is not to rush to open the lid after steaming, but to let the steamed buns simmer in the pot for a few more minutes.
