Nanjing Railway Vocational and Technical College is the only rail transit vocational and technical college in the Yangtze River Delta approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is also a vocational and technical college jointly established by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Shanghai Railway Bureau and Pukou District Government. The college, formerly known as Nanjing Special Municipal No.1 Vocational Middle School, was founded in 194 1. From 65438 to 0955, it was renamed Nanjing Railway Transportation School, which was managed by the Ministry of Railways for a long time. In 2002, it was upgraded to a higher vocational and technical college. In 2004, the establishment of the college was placed under the local management of Jiangsu Province by the Ministry of Railways. The college covers an area of 1 146 mu, with more than 4000 students/kloc-0. Since its founding 70 years ago, the College has trained 70,000 professionals, which has made positive contributions to China rail transit and local economic development.
