Description of the problem:

Is there anyone who can recommend where in Hangzhou is the more authentic and tasty Korean cuisine restaurant?

(The price is moderate, usually two people eat, spend about two hundred it).

Analysis:

Hangzhou one after another opened a lot of Korean restaurant, I probably ate about seven or eight, I personally give some evaluation, I hope to give those who like to eat Korean food friends a suggestion. I'm going to list five relatively familiar Korean restaurants to visualize the differences between them. I listed some of the diners click rate is relatively high cuisine, as for some of the grilled fried dishes, in fact, can not be compared with any of the Chinese faction of the dishes, we will not mention this side.

Appetizers: the production of small dishes can also be seen at a high level

This is a feature of Korean cuisine, a few plates of small dishes before the meal, although it is an additional gift, but the production of small dishes can also be seen at a high level. Overall, Regent's small dishes are relatively the most exquisite as well as the best variety, and almost every time you go in addition to the basic kimchi and shredded seaweed, the other small dishes will be updated, and each time to send eight dishes, in the Korean restaurant is considered to be more. Next in taste are Deoksugung and Busanhyang, followed by Haebanghwa (Haebanghwa's small plates have a good flavor, just a little over-improved, with a much lighter Korean flavor). As for Jingbokgung I really think it is rather strange, the main consumer group should be students, but the pricing is relatively high, compared to the price, the small dishes are a little bad.

Barbecue: the meat is a must

In any Korean restaurant, I suggest that the meat is a must. For the knife work of the meat, the best performance is Rikyu and Haebanghwa, and it is a clear and distinct "five flowers". Don't underestimate the quality of the cut, as it has a bearing on the degree of maturity when grilled and the degree of fullness when it enters the mouth. The ugliest appearance of the meat on the table is the mother's cuisine called Busan Xiang, often only to see incomplete "three-flower meat" appeared.

Another key to grilling is the sauce. In terms of sauce alone, Deoksugung's is the most authentic, followed by Regalia, which is not far from their self-proclaimed authentic Korean cuisine. The sauce at Busan Heung is quite tasty.

The lettuce leaves and garlic and green pepper rings that come with the Korean barbecue are pretty much the same in these restaurants, but the cucumber strips and carrots in the Regent's are just cut too big and don't go down well. Worth mentioning here is Begonia Cuisine, who actually gave away two plates of lettuce and vegetable salad. Their sauces were extremely flavorful, but it was a bit of a shame that they added a rather large amount of southern milk juice to the sauce, which was too much of an improvement for flavor.

Another suggestion when eating the pork is not to rub on the plate of oil that the restaurant sends you, or it will overpower the flavor that oozes out of the meat itself from the searing heat. In fact, Korean cuisine sometimes use mulberry leaves instead of lettuce wrapped in grilled meat or grilled seafood to eat, the smell is very sweet, but all the restaurants in Hangzhou do not provide mulberry leaves, it may be the costing as well as Hangzhou people's taste reasons.

Stone pot bibimbap: the stone pot must be boiling hot

Authentic stone pot bibimbap consists of a casserole, a number of Korean hot sauce, one or two eggs, fried eight minutes cooked (the yolk on top of the yolk is still almost liquid); carrots, ferns, soybean sprouts, clams fried in oil; beef shredded and fried (there is also a pork). The stone pot must be piping hot, the inside smeared with vegetable oil, with rice, and then vegetables on top of the rice, in one layer. Finally put the egg. This is a basic process. OK, let's now see which ones meet this standard. In fact, the results are delightful. With the exception of De Shou Gong, every house meets the standard relatively well. The best flavors were from Gyeongbokgung and Haebanghwa, with Gyeongbokgung having the best selection of rice grains and rawness, and a good Busan aroma, while Regent's was not personally well adapted to the flavors, probably due to a failure of container selection and a stone pot that was too cold, resulting in a rather sheepish taste.

Korean miso soup and kimchi soup: miso soup is the basis of many Korean soups

The essence of the so-called other complicated and colorful types of soup is this bowl of miso soup spices. I don't know if dashi soup originated from Japanese miso soup, the taste is closer, but because of the unique addition of dashi to Korean soups, the flavor comes more intense. By adding tofu, kimchi, or squid to the soup, the price and flavor of the soup varies. Reigong and Gyeongbokgung have more types of soup and their flavors are closer to the original. Busanhyang and Haebanghwa come next, and Deoksugung's soup varieties, though numerous, give the impression of kimchi overload. Hot pot: Deoksugung and Ligong's is more suitable for Hangzhou people taste

Korean hot pot is actually a very simple hot pot, the material is not rich, just some cheap vegetables as well as meat. And once it's overcooked, it's sticky and has a chaotic feel to it. The kimchi hot pot usually offered by the restaurant is not recommended, the flavor is very bland. Some Korean restaurants in Hangzhou also offer seafood hot pot. Seafood hot pot in Korean hot pot has been regarded as a big meal meaning, although the practice of Korean seasoning will cover the seafood of the original color, but the mouth is very mellow, and even a little close to the feeling of Southeast Asian seafood hot pot. In addition to Ligong, several other hot pots are heavier in flavor. De Shou Gong's hot pot is relatively the most authentic, Begonia's kimchi flavor is slightly heavier, the other two are more moderate. But in my personal opinion, it is still De Shou Gong and Li Gong's hot pot is more suitable for Hangzhou people's taste.

Cold noodles: Begonia does the most authentic and delicious

Cold noodles are also a major feature of Korean cuisine, sweet and sour, cold and refreshing, add sweet potato flour noodles are thin and tough, if you drink a bowl of this in the summer, it is really a pain in the ass. Begonia's cold noodles are the most authentic and tasty, followed by Deoksugung, Gyeongbokgung, and Regalia is the worst. I went to Busan Hyang several times and not once did I choose the cold noodles from the selection. To add to this, although the cold noodles at Regent Palace are a bit lousy, the flavor of the fried noodles is absolutely delightful, and I highly recommend it.

Desserts: Busan's sweetest desserts

Seafood pancakes and potato pancakes are a kind of pancake, often called koreanpizza or koreanpancake, or chon in Korean, which is a little bit like the scallion pancake in the north, but with eggs added to the flour, and leeks on top of the pancake in addition to scallions, and shrimp, squid, and other seafood. The most flavorful of Busan-hyang's snacks is the chon. Busan Heung's dim sum is the most sweet and delicious, with a very rough but intimate feeling, and probably also as a result of Korean moms labeling in it. A couple of the cakes at Regent Palace tasted okay, but were priced a bit too high to be worth it. The other treats at Gyeongbokgung and Begonia are mediocre, and it's worth mentioning Deoksugung, which boasts original Korean-style treats that are really very "Korean" - for Koreans only. Other Korean-savvy friends would also recommend

trying the Korean fried rice cakes, but I don't usually eat them myself.

Alcohol and Tea: Zenro and Barley Tea

The Zenro is very much like watered down soju, it's awful and expensive, so don't go there if you're a drinker. The tea served was barley tea, and the flavors were surprisingly consistent.

Tableware and environment: Regalia comes first

In terms of environment and tableware, Regalia comes first, Deoksugung comes second (his tableware doesn't work, it's rather rough), and Gyeongbokgung and Haebanghwa come second; Busanhyang is rather cramped, especially if you have to go to the bathroom in Busanhyang, you'll have to push open the back door and then walk through a section of the derelict building before you can get straight to the reasonably clean restroom.

Service as well as price: I want to praise the service of Begonia

Maybe because of Begonia's bad location and slow business, their service is especially warm and attentive, with a beautiful woman busy in between. Ligong because of good business, so the waiters are always busy and average. The waiters at Deoksugung and Gyeongbokgung always seem to be easily distracted and don't come to the initiative to pour tea and change plates. Busan Hyang's store is small, and the waiters bring the food preparation to the store, which is slightly dirty.

In terms of price, we can list a few basic dishes and make a comparison accordingly. The fact that Jingfu Palace is only set meal prices are more cost-effective, in addition to Zhejiang University students carrying a student ID card can be discounted, before and after the price gap is relatively large, I will not include detailed entries to comment. Begonia, on the other hand, will probably maintain a long period of 20% discount, so the comparison is still in accordance with the original price.

For the price of pork, Li Gong and De Shou Gong are 40 yuan and 35 yuan, respectively, the other two are in the upper and lower 25 yuan; while the hot pot is still Li Gong and De Shou Gong with the price of 100 yuan and 98 yuan in the lead, the other a few probably remain in the 40 yuan or so; stone pot rice in the Li Gong price of 45 yuan, De Shou Gong of 35 yuan, the other two of 25 yuan, but in my humble opinion, these prices are a little too high. These prices are slightly too high; the four dashi soups are all priced between 25-35 yuan, varying up and down according to the ingredients added; the cold noodles and dim sum are all 20 yuan, except for 25 yuan at Regent's Palace.
