2. Zucchini is a plant with strong apical dominance, and its lateral branches generally do not germinate before enucleation. Cut off the tender shoots at the first 5-7 leaves of the first female flower, and then a large number of back branches germinate, leaving 1-2 side branches at the base and front respectively, and cut off the remaining side branches when they are stretched to about 40cm. Pick the first 5-7 leaves of the lateral branch female flower again.

4. Artificial pollination: the ginger-handled melon is artificially pollinated and cultivated in facilities at flowering stage, without insect vectors. The rainy season is not conducive to pollen transfer and fertilization, and artificial pollination is needed; Each male flower pollinates 3-4 female flowers, and the remaining male flowers can be picked and sold on the market; Pollination should be carried out in the sunny morning, and the open male flowers should be lightly rubbed on the stigma of the female flowers to achieve the purpose of pollination. On rainy days, the female and male flowers are covered with small plastic bags on the first day of flowering, and the female flowers are picked after pollination for 3 days.
