What is a warblebill?

The warblebill, also known as the dabbler, warblebill bleak, is a pelagic fish species.

The warble mouth fish, scientifically known as the warble mouth bleak, is a wide temperature fish, a kind of pelagic fish species, but also a kind of ferocious carnivorous fish, widely distributed in the waters of all regions of the country, and is a kind of fish often caught by anglers. Characteristics of Bleak

Bleak belongs to the middle and upper layer of large freshwater fish, swift and good jumping, irritable and easy to be frightened, it is a ferocious carnivorous fish that feeds mainly on live fish; it mainly eats small fish and shrimp, and it also eats a small amount of young plants, ingests the water temperature of 3~36℃, the optimal water temperature of 15~32℃, and it is capable of surviving in water bodies that are large or small, and it is resistant to low oxygen.

Bleak is a predatory fish with ferocious temperament, and with the increase of weight and body length, the predatory nature of bleak will also change. In the juvenile period, due to its small mouth cleft, its predatory ability is limited, mainly feeding on insects, branchiostoma and copepods; when the body length reaches 15cm, it starts to prey on other fish, and with a body length of 25cm, it mainly preys on small and medium-sized pangolins, mackerel, breams, etc. It is one of the top predators in the natural waters.
