"Gourmet Capital" is a title awarded by UNESCO to a category of cities that are members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Currently, UNESCO recognizes Popayán, Colombia; Chengdu, China; ?tesund, Sweden; Zahle, Lebanon; Jeonju, South Korea; Shunde, Guangdong, China; and Macao, China as Gourmet Capitals.
Chengdu, China, was approved to join UNESCO's Creative Cities Network in February 2010 and was honored as the "Capital of Gastronomy". Shunde, Guangdong Province was awarded the title of "Gourmet Capital" on December 1, 2014 by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. The Macao Special Administrative Region of China also joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in November 2017 and was awarded the title of "Gourmet Capital".
