I found a mud block on the wall, and there were several insect pupae in it. What kind of insect is this?
It feels like a salamander's nest. Its nest is made of mud. It catches LEPIDOPTERA insects to lay eggs on them, and the larvae grow up by eating them. Newt, also known as salamander, Plush, Lepidoptera, is a family under Vespidoidea. The head is spherical, the antenna is slender, the compound eye is oval, and there are three single eyes. Abdomen seven, waist thin. Different from other wasps, its adults usually have no nests and live freely. Only when females lay eggs will they build nests with mud or with diabolo tubes. Each nest lays one egg, which is hung on the inner side of the nest with silk and goes out to catch Lepidoptera larvae. After being stung and anesthetized, they are stored in the nest room for their larvae to eat after hatching, and as many as 20-30 pieces are often stored in one room. After sealing, the adults melt. Its nests are mostly built on branches, trunks, stones, ground and buildings.
