Washing your face with honey can detoxify and sterilize your skin. However, for people with allergies or oily skin, honey is not suitable for washing the face, and it can lead to pore obstruction and the growth of fat particles or pimples and other adverse reactions. Honey contains a large number of amino acids, enzymes, hormones, vitamins and sugars that can be absorbed by the body, and has a nourishing and skin-care beauty effect. Diluted with honey and 2-3 times water, daily compresses, can make the skin bright and tender.
The chemical composition of honey varies greatly depending on the type of bee, the source of honey and the environment. Its main components are fructose and glucose, the two content of about 70%, still contains a small amount of sucrose, maltose, dextrin, gum, and nitrogen-containing compounds, organic acids, volatile oils, pigments, waxes, natural flavors, plant debris (especially pollen grains), yeast, enzymes, inorganic salts and so on.

In the nitrogen-containing compounds there are proteins, peptones, amino acids and so on. Still contains convertase, catalase, amylase, oxidase, reductase and other enzymes, and contains acetylcholine. Ash mainly contains magnesium, calcium, potassium, sodium, sulfur, phosphorus and trace elements such as iron, copper, manganese, nickel. Organic acid contains citric acid, malic acid, succinic acid, formic acid, acetic acid and so on.
Honey contains glucose and fructose, accounting for about 65 to 80%; sucrose is minimal, not more than 8%; water 16 to 25%; dextrin and non-sugar substances, minerals, organic acids and other content in about 5%. In addition, it also contains a small amount of enzymes, aromatic substances and vitamins. The composition of honey is different for different varieties of honey plants.
