Vicia hirsuta (scientific name: Vicia hirsuta), also known as Vicia faba, is a plant of the genus Vicia in Leguminosae. It is distributed in North America, Korea, Russia, Northern Europe, Japan and Qinghai, Central China, East China, Guangdong, Guangxi, Gansu, Shaanxi, Southwest China and other places in Chinese mainland. It grows in areas with an altitude of 200 meters to11,900 meters, mostly in ravines, fields, beaches and roadside grass, and has not been artificially introduced and cultivated at present.
