Oyster omelette (pronounced ?-ā-jiān, translated as "oyster omelette" in Mandarin) originated in the Zhangquan area of ??Xiamen, Fujian. It is a classic Han snack in southern Fujian, Taiwan, Chaoshan and other places. The origin is an alternative food invented by people in coastal areas who cannot eat enough.
