1. Origin: Tremella fuciformis is distributed in China, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan. Noel is an excellent variety of Tremella fuciformis, which requires high cultivation techniques and low yield.

2. Different appearance: Tremella is chrysanthemum-shaped, cockscomb-shaped, 5- 10 cm in diameter, soft and white, translucent and elastic. Wax ears, also called ugly ears, are compact in shape. The dry goods of ugly ears will be smaller than ordinary tremella and the color will be yellow than ordinary tremella.

3. Different gums: The gums of waxy ears can be well preserved and the content of collagen is high. The gum content of tremella is not as high as that of waxy ear.
