In Dongguan, people usually eat duck stewed with lotus root.
2, eat rice flour
On the Mid-Autumn Festival, there is a custom of eating seto powder in Dongguan, and it is almost universal in Dongguan. Of course, the method of eating seto powder is different in different areas.
Seto powder, the powder slurry is pressed into strips and dropped into hot water. This action is called "seto", from which seto powder comes. Dongguan is most famous for roasted goose and rice flour.
3. Eat glutinous rice balls
Beijiang people in Longyou County, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province make local dumplings, not on the Lantern Festival, but on the Mid-Autumn Festival on July 15th of the lunar calendar and the winter solstice.
Beixiang dumplings are big, salty, pointed and round, and three can fill a small bowl. The stuffing inside is not the traditional sweetener such as sesame, but salty like jiaozi, with shredded radish, chopped tofu and home-made chopped Chili sauce.
4. Eat flat food
In Dongxian Township, Jiangsu Province, many people eat flat food, a kind of food made of flour and sugar, on the Mid-Autumn Festival. It has the same origin as jiaozi and Wonton, and it is more exquisite than jiaozi and more delicious than Wonton.
5. Dumpling cone
Dumpling cones are famous for their appearance. It is wrapped in vegetable stuffing like "dumplings", and wrapped in "cakes" outside. The shape of the rolls is like "tubes". The names of the dumpling tubes are different in different parts of Taizhou, and they are also called "eating cake tubes, wheat cake tubes, rice tubes, wheat grease, wheat coke, catching sheep with five tigers, jigong burritos, tin cakes, etc. It is a unique traditional snack in Taizhou.
