Most of the causes of Huff's disease are unexplained rhabdomyolysis syndrome within 24 hours after eating aquatic products. The clinical manifestations are muscle soreness with increased serum creatine phosphokinase and myoglobin. Some patients have soy sauce color urine, most of them have good prognosis, and some serious patients will have acute renal failure. Most patients quickly recovered to normal, and only a few serious patients died. In the following nine years, about 1000 patients were found in the same season and the same area, and it was found that all these patients were related to eating freshwater fish, including freshwater cod, eel and pike.
