Available foods for patients with liver cirrhosis include skimmed milk, skimmed cocoa milk, coffee, tea, fruit juice, soft drinks, ordinary cereals, macaroni, noodles, whole wheat bread, ordinary vegetables, peeled poultry, fish, lean pork and so on.
Prohibited foods for patients with liver cirrhosis include: cocoa powder made from whole milk; Cold drinks with high fat content; Cookies, bread, eggs and cheese containing too much fat; Fat-added bagels, macaroni and cereals; Vegetables cooked with cream; Meat with fat and skin, barbecue or fried meat, sausage, corn, patties, stew; Food that is too spicy and irritating; Foods containing food additives and fruits and vegetables with pesticide residues.
Examples of recipes for patients with liver cirrhosis:
Breakfast: flower rolls (50 grams of flour), tomato noodle soup and eggs (25 grams of flour, tomato 1 00 grams, 50 grams of eggs).
Meal: 250ml skim milk.
Lunch: millet porridge (50g of millet), Melaleuca cake (50g of flour), stewed beef with potatoes and carrots (50g of beef, 50g of potatoes and 0/00g of carrots/kloc).
Extra meal: fruit150g
Dinner: soft rice (rice100g), minced meat wax gourd (minced meat 25g, wax gourd100g), tomato and cucumber soup (tomato 25g, cucumber100g).
Vegetable oil cooked all day:10g
Sucrose for all-day cooking: 5g.
