Shenyang Laobian Dumpling House, a long-established Chinese dumpling house, was founded in 1829 and recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's longest-running dumpling house in 2000. In 1829, the founder of Laobian Dumpling, Mr. Bian Fu, set up a store at Xiaojinqiao in Shengjing City (now Shenyang) and started a business of steaming dumplings under the name of "Laobian Dumpling". Because his dumplings were thin-skinned and filled with large fillings and were made to be eaten on the spot, they soon became famous in the area. Since then, Laobian's dumpling-making skills have been improved in competition and practice, and the company has developed the process of making soup-fried dumplings, which has created a unique flavor that is loose and easy to chew, tasty and fragrant, and not greasy, and has become famous both at home and abroad. In 1998, Laobian Dumpling Banquet was awarded the gold medal at the California International Exposition; in 1999, it was awarded the "first place in the total score of popular banquets" in the Fourth National Culinary Technology Competition; in 1999, it was awarded the "Chinese Famous Dumpling"; in 2000, it was recognized by the headquarters of the Guinness of the World in Shanghai as the "longest history".
