There are some differences between cultured and ornamental fish in ornamental shrimp. Ornamental shrimp needs shrimp houses or shrimp tubes to hide, while ornamental fish need some aquatic plants. There will be many differences in many ways. So, besides breeding ornamental shrimp, what else should we pay attention to? How to raise ornamental shrimp?
First of all, there are two types of freshwater aquaculture in ornamental shrimp.
1, the size of small ornamental shrimp is about 3cm, such as cherry shrimp, crystal shrimp and Suzhou shrimp.
2, crayfish series logo with pliers, that is, big pliers, ranging in size from 5 cm to 30 cm, such as mini orange pliers, blue devil, white pliers.
Second, the two categories of pure white shrimp
1, there is platinum shrimp in the shrimp;
2. The crayfish series has white claws.
Platinum shrimp can only be 3 cm long, and it can reproduce at this size, but it is difficult. No problem with hybrids. No fighting. Not to mention molting. As long as there is a hidden environment in the tank, it mainly shows that there are many aquatic plants. The life span is about 1 to 1 year and a half. Shrimp doesn't need much space, just a minimum 20 cm tank. The key is to control the water quality. White claws can grow to 15 cm at most, and can reproduce when they grow to 10 cm. Mixed culture of crayfish is difficult, unless the fish tank is large and the space is large. In addition, each shrimp should have its own shrimp house or shrimp tube, so that the shrimp can be hidden inside, and the mixed culture will definitely fight, and the life span can reach more than 2 years.
Ornamental Shrimp
Third, the feeding method
The most important thing in cultivating high-quality ornamental shrimp is water quality. Ornamental shrimp has high requirements for water quality. They are different from ordinary ornamental fish and are very sensitive to water quality. Generally, the PH value of the water in the tank for raising ornamental shrimp is between 5 and 8, and the KH value (relative hardness of water) is between 1-6. Moreover, the conditions of PH 6.2-6.8 and KH 1-2 are more suitable. When feeding, the water quality standards of fish tanks should be adjusted according to the different needs of different ornamental shrimp.
Ornamental shrimp also has high requirements for water temperature, which is very sensitive to the change of water temperature, so it also has high requirements for temperature control during feeding. Strictly speaking, ornamental shrimp is not suitable for high-temperature breeding, and it is reasonable to control the water temperature at 22-24 degrees Celsius under normal circumstances. During the breeding season in ornamental shrimp, the water temperature should be increased by 1-2 degrees. When the water temperature reaches 25 degrees Celsius, it is the best temperature for hatching eggs.
Bait is still an important aspect of raising ornamental shrimp. Shrimp is omnivorous, basically vegetarian, and occasionally can eat meat. Granular grain, sliced grain, red worm, bumper shrimp, moss, algae, aquatic plants, minerals in mud, special grain for freshwater shrimp, organic seaweed, etc. , can become the food in ornamental shrimp. Spinach may be a popular food for shrimp. In the process of feeding ornamental shrimp, we must ensure its balanced food nutrition. Feed it with reasonable food and see it. It's scared to death. Long-term single diet is also bad for the health of prawns.
Ornamental shrimp is fragile, so it's best not to touch it with your hands, because there are many bacteria on your hands, which may make ornamental shrimp sick. It should be noted that all ornamental shrimp will be attacked by other shrimps when they are shelled, so you should pay attention to isolation.
