This is an antiallergic over-the-counter drug.

Indications

Seasonal rhinitis, perennial allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis and allergy-induced itching and urticaria symptomatic treatment.

Specifications

Dosage

Oral. Recommended for adults and children over 2 years of age.

Adults: 1 tablet at a time, which can be taken with a small amount of liquid with dinner, or half a tablet once a day in the morning and evening if sensitive to adverse reactions.

Children 6 to 12 years old: 1 tablet once a day; or half a tablet twice a day.

Children 2 to 6 years old: one and a half tablets once a day; or one and a quarter tablets twice a day.

Adverse Reactions

Mild and transient adverse reactions have occasionally been reported in patients. Examples include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, agitation, dry mouth, and abdominal discomfort. In objective tests to determine psychomotor function, the sedative effect of this product was similar to that of placebo. Allergic reactions have been rarely reported.

Contraindications

1. Hypersensitivity to hydroxyzine is contraindicated.

2. Contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment.

1. Patients with renal insufficiency should be used under medical supervision.

2. First trimester of pregnancy and lactating women are not recommended.

3. Alcohol should be consumed with caution when taking this product.
