Bengbu is located in the northeast of Anhui Province, in the middle reaches of Huaihe River, at the intersection of beijing-shanghai railway and Huainan railways, and also at the intersection of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, Beijing-Fuzhou high-speed railway, Harbin-Shanghai high-speed railway and Beijing-Taiwan high-speed railway. China is an important comprehensive transportation hub, a member city of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, and a city in the Suzhou-Huaihe-Bengbu metropolitan area. It is known as the central city in northern Anhui and the Pearl of Huaihe River.
It is a city under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province, the first prefecture-level city in Anhui Province.
