Cooking means: (action) handling; processing.

The original meaning of the word cuisine in Chinese is to process and organize, but this word is an exclusive word for dishes in Japanese, and the word cuisine in Korea also has the same meaning. Because of the language relationship, in Korea and Japan, the word meal refers to cuisine. It is very different from our Chinese meaning of cooking!

Because the Japanese word meaning is poor, they simply use "kanji cuisine" to refer to the food. Therefore, French food is called "French food", and Italian food is also called "Italian food". Anyway, no matter which country's food it is, they generally add "cuisine" after the country's name to specifically refer to the country's food.

It is impossible for us in China to call the food and beverages of other countries so rigidly. This is the greatness of our Chinese language. The expressions expressed through expressions are not comprehensive and appropriate in our Chinese language. After all, the word "cooking" first appeared in China. Our ancestors called all preparations before preparing meals "cooking", which means preparing meals.

Although Japan and South Korea talk about "cuisine" all day long, Japanese food and Korean food are not famous in the world. The three major cuisines in the world are Turkish cuisine, French cuisine and our Chinese cuisine! The word cooking can only describe the preliminary preparation work of our Chinese meals. As for the cooking and eating stages, that is the essence of our Chinese meals!
