Huanggang's specialties are: Luotian chestnut, Hongan Dapu, Macheng Fubaiju, Yingshan Platycodon grandiflorum, Macheng Black Goat, Qichun Zhenmi, Huangmei Peach Blossom, Dongshan Old Rice Wine, Wuxue Crispy Sugar, Bahe Lotus Root and so on. Huanggang has a long history and culture, with a history of more than 2,000 years. It gave birth to Daoxin, Hongren and Huineng, the fourth ancestor of Zen Buddhism in China, Bi Sheng, the inventor of movable type printing in Song Dynasty, and Li Shizhen, the medical sage in Ming Dynasty.

Luotian chestnut kernel contains starch, protein, fat, calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamins A, B, C, B2 and other substances. The content of protein is 30% higher than that of rice, and the fat is 20 times higher than that of rice.

Hongan Dabu is a pure cotton textile treasure hand-made by people in Hongan County, an old revolutionary base area. For hundreds of years, local farmers have the custom of spinning and weaving. During the war, Red Army soldiers used Dabu to make military uniform sheets, and there was a moving scene in which men would fight in front and women would weave and deliver clothes in the back.
